Bucky Knisley ’65 was the greatest Castleton soccer player in a generation of great players. He was the first Castleton athlete to win All-American honors. He was a member of the 1963 co-national championship soccer team and starred in the district championship game, which set up the trip to the nationals. In his senior year, he was All-State, All-New England, and NAIA All-Tournament. He has had a distinguished career in coaching as the athletic director of Colchester High School and soccer coach at Thomas College. He has been honored by his peers as an outstanding teacher.
