A native of Torrence, California, Josh Harris ’13 was a standout playmaker and two-time All-Conference selection during his career at Castleton. He holds the distinction of being the program’s all-time leader in career points (127), while also ranking second in assists (80) and third in goals (47). In addition, Harris ranks third in power-play goals (18), is tied for third in short-handed goals (4), and sits fifth in games played (98), demonstrating consistent production throughout his four years with the Spartans. During the 2010–11 season, Harris was named an AHCA First-Team All-American and received the prestigious Joe Concannon Award, given annually to the top American-born Division II/III hockey player in New England. That same season, he led all of Division III men’s hockey in points per game (1.85), further establishing his place among the top performers in the country. Over the course of his career, Harris helped guide Castleton to 55 wins and was recognized as the team’s Most Valuable Player in his senior season. A three-time team leader in scoring, he consistently ranked among the top contributors on the roster and remains one of the most accomplished players in program history. Following his graduation, Harris continued his career at the professional level, playing for 10 years in various leagues. He earned League MVP honors during that time and finished his career ranked in the Top 10 All-Time in Points. Off the ice, Harris has remained active in the sport through coaching and player development. He has spent time working with youth hockey programs and clinics, using his experience to support the next generation of players. He now lives in Birmingham, Alabama, where he serves as Hockey Director at a local Civic Complex.
