Dan Violette, ’66, was a four-year letter winner on very successful baseball teams at Castleton. He was a standout power pitcher and an offensive threat that led Castleton baseball teams to three consecutive winning seasons (1964-1966). The teams that Dan played on had an overall record of 37-29. For the past 27 years, Dan has been a well-respected Athletic Director at Union 32 High School in Montpelier, Vermont. He has also coached talented soccer and baseball teams in his tenure at Union 32, winning a Vermont State Championship in soccer in 1983. Dan has gained great respect from his peers and community members because his decisions are always based on “what is best for all the kids.”
