Dennis Preseault ’78 was an integral member of Castleton State College’s successful baseball teams. A standout pitcher and an offensive threat during his years at Castleton, Dennis hit 342 in 1976 en route to gaining selection to the All-NESCAC team. After graduating, Dennis spent his time inspiring and motivating children in his physical education classes. He also served as a counselor for emotionally disturbed boys and as a volunteer coach in both soccer and baseball. Dennis received high praises for his teaching skills that colleagues, parents and students alike recognized as of the highest caliber. His consistent willingness to lend a helpful hand also made him a valuable asset to the educational staff and the community. A family man, physical education teacher, and role model, Dennis passed away unexpectedly in the summer of 1996.
