Rocky Rosato ’76 was the winner of the 1973-74 Rocky Mezzetta Memorial Award and the 1976 Coaches’ Trophy, a unique testimonial to his athletic ability, dedication, sportsmanship, and team leadership. He was an MVP and NESCAC All-Star in basketball and was named to the NESCAC and NAIA District 5 All-Star baseball teams as an outfielder. In his senior year, he had a .485 batting average and accumulated a career average of .350. His single greatest day was in the 1976 NAIA District 5 finals when, playing first base with an injured knee, he produced nine straight hits in a doubleheader as Castleton beat both Husson and Franklin Pierce by lopsided scores to win the title. A physical therapist and athletic trainer, he currently directs the Adirondack Sports Medicine Center in Utica, New York.
