Dan Stebbins, ’71, was one of the greatest two-sportathletes in Castleton’s history. He was leading scorer inbasketball for three years (1969-71) and team captain and MVP fortwo years. He could play any position, inside and outside, and wasthe “go-to guy” when the team had to score. As soccergoalkeeper, he set a Castleton record which stood for more than onedecade with eight shutouts in one season. In 1969-70, he was MVP inboth soccer and basketball. He was named to All-Division teams inboth sports on two occasions. In his senior year, he was awardedthe Coaches’ Trophy for his outstanding ability in twosports. Today, he is CEO and President of Dragoco, an internationalcorporation.
