Kristine Gay Clark, ’84, was a standout two-sport athlete lettering in basketball and softball.  In basketball, she was a major contributor to the first women’s basketball team in Castleton history to advance to the NAIA District V championship game.  Kris scored over 1,000 career points, the first woman in school history to reach that milestone.  Kris was the team captain during her junior and senior seasons and was named to the All-Mayflower Conference Team her senior year.  In addition toher many accomplishments on the basketball court, Kris was also a four-year starter at first base on the softball team.  She led her team in hitting her senior season with a .367 batting average and 5 home runs. Because of her success on the softball diamond, she was named to the All-Mayflower and All-District V Team her senior season.
