Brenda Keenan Drake ’87 was a two-sport athlete, lettering in basketball and lacrosse.  As a basketball player, Brenda was the second female in the history of the Castleton women’s basketball program to reach the 1,000-point plateau.  She was the first female athlete at Castleton to be selected to the NAIA All-District Team for three consecutive years (1985-87).  She helped lead the Spartan basketball team to a Mayflower Conference Co-Championship in 1987.  Through Brenda’s leadership skills, her determination, and academic achievements, she received the President’s Award upon graduation.  Brenda currently resides on a horse farm in Kent’s Hill, Maine, where she enjoys competing in the equestrian sport of Eventing.  She is currently employed by Proctor and Gamble.
