PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's soccer team traveled to Plymouth State University for a Little East Conference matchup Saturday afternoon, falling 2-0 to the Panthers.

How it Happened:
Castleton recorded a pair of early shots, including one on target, as the Spartans looked to find an opening in the Plymouth State defense.
Following a Castleton corner kick,
Liam Cramer sent a shot toward the net that sailed just high.
A Spartan foul in the box gave Plymouth State a penalty kick in the 24
th minute, which the Panthers converted to take a 1-0 lead.
The two teams traded shots throughout the remainder of the first half, with Plymouth State carrying its one-goal advantage into halftime.
Plymouth State added to its lead just three minutes into the second half to make it a 2-0 game.
Castleton continued to create chances in the second half, but the Spartans were unable to put it behind the Panthers' keeper.
The Spartans held a narrow 14-11 advantage in shots, but Plymouth State held on for the 2-0 victory.
