Personal: Beggs joins VTSU - Castleton as a highly accomplished multi-sport athlete with an impressive high school career at Hartford High School. A four-year varsity letter winner in both soccer and baseball and a two-year varsity basketball player, he demonstrated exceptional leadership and athleticism, serving as a two-year team captain and earning the title of Male Athlete of the Year in his senior season. On the soccer field, Beggs was instrumental in leading his team to three league championships, earning First Team All-State honors in one season, Second Team All-State in another, and three All-League selections. He also competed at a high level with Lightning Soccer Club, further honing his skills.In baseball, His dedication and talent mirrored his success in soccer, contributing to his reputation as a well-rounded competitor. His leadership, versatility, and strong work ethic are inspired by his favorite athlete, Derek Jeter, whose mentality and commitment to excellence shape Beggs' approach to sports and life. Now majoring in Sports Management at VTSU - Castleton, Joey looks forward to bringing his leadership and competitive drive to the collegiate level while pursuing his passion for athletics on and off the field.
