PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Following the team's most successful week of the season, women's soccer's Gwen Bridges and Chloe Green collected three of the four Little East Conference weekly honors. Bridges earned Defensive Player of the Week, while Green was tabbed Rookie of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week, both earned weekly awards for the first time in their careers.

Bridges found herself with her first career assist against Plymouth State on Saturday, getting her foot on the ball off a corner kick from Maggie Parker and directing it toward Emma Patrissi, who tapped it past the keeper, giving Castleton its second goal in the team's 2-0 win. This award marks the first LEC honor for Bridges in her career as she registered one point on the week as a defender.

Green had a career-best week as a rookie, combining for 11 points from five goals and one assist over three games. Against New England College on Tuesday, she notched her first career hat trick, scoring the first, third, and final goal in Castleton's 5-0 win. Against Plymouth State, she launched a long shot from just outside the box, giving the Spartans a 1-0 lead before they would go on to win 2-0. In Sunday's game against Colby-Sawyer, she earned her first career assist on the first goal to Maggie McKearin to give Castleton a 1-0 lead and then went on to score the second goal on a long ball from Becky Hannwacker as the Spartans went on to win 6-0. Green currently sits second in the LEC in goals with six on the season, and has 13 points overall from six goals and one assist.

The team looks to continue its win streak when it hosts UMass Dartmouth for a LEC matchup on Saturday, October 4, as the women's soccer team hosts its Breast Cancer Awareness Game, set for 12 p.m.
