CASTLETON, Vt. – Michael O'Connor of the Vermont State University Castleton men's soccer team was selected to play in the NEISL (New England Intercollegiate Soccer League) senior all-star game. The game is slated to be played at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, on Sunday, November 30, at 1 p.m.

O'Connor is the first player to be selected since Jack Kingdon in 2019. Former Spartan men's soccer players Tom Kirk, Aaron Parker, Alex McCormick, Jake Tietgens, Amir Pasic, and Eric Cross were also elected to play in the game following their final seasons at Castleton.

O'Connor was selected to play as a midfielder, alongside nine other Little East Conference players from WestConn, Eastern Connecticut, UMass Boston, and Southern Maine. The senior racked up 12 points on the year from five goals and two assists, starting in all 18 games on the season. He scored the lone goal in the Spartans 1-0 win over SUNY Potsdam, and posted a season-high three points against Paul Smith's College with one goal and one assist.
