Chicopee, MA-The Castleton State College women's lacrosse team stretched its win-streak to four games with a decisive 16-6 win over Elms College in New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) action.
Nicole Bouchard had five goals and four assists, for a game-high nine points to lead the 5-2 (3-1 NEWLA) Spartans.
Castleton led 9-3 at halftime as six different Spartans scored, led by Bouchard, Stephanie Pearce and Nicole Adams who each had two. Pearce finished with three goals and one assist, while Adams added two goals and one assist.
The Blazers were led by Caitlin Childs with three goals.
Marie VanDerKar scored a pair of goals and had six draw controls in the win.
All three Spartan goalies saw action as Meredith Pope started and earned the win with five first half saves. Francesca Mazzola (two) and Rebecca Duszak (one) combined for three saves in the second half.
Castleton will play host to Colby-Sawyer on April 10 in non-conference action.
