Castleton, VT-Nicole Bouchard scored three goals and handed out three assists as Castleton State College down Thomas College 17-6 in New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance action.

Castleton stretched its record to 7-5 overall and 5-1 in conference play, making the 2008 Spartans the winningest team in program history.

The Spartans jumped out to a 10-0 halftime lead and cruised to the 17-6 win. Meredith Pope stopped five shots in the first half before giving way to Francesca Mazzola and Rebecca Duszak for the final 30 minutes of play.

Katelyn Greene added three goals, while Erin Barry and Nicole Sanders each had two. Nicole Adams chipped in one goal and three assists for the Spartans.

Megan Denby led the 2-8 (0-7 NEWLA) Terriers with three goals.

Castleton returns to action on Tuesday when the Spartans travel to Keene State for a 7:00 pm non-conference game.
