PROVIDENCE, RI- The Little East Conference (LEC) announced its field hockey weekly award winners for the week ending September 20, 2026. Vermont State University Castleton's Peyton Richardson (Windsor, Vt./Windsor) was named the Offensive Player of the Week.

Richardson helped lead the Spartans to a 6-5 overtime victory over Colby-Sawyer College last Wednesday. She totaled five points in the win, scoring twice and adding an assist while placing all three of her shots on goal. Richardson assisted on the game-tying goal and scored twice as Castleton completed the comeback victory.

For the season, Richardson has three goals and one assist. She has 14 total shots and 11 shots on goal. She is currently in the top 11 in career points with 77 and tied for sixth in assists with 23 in the Castleton record book.
