Men's Tennis Falls to Wolves in LEC Action

Box Score DANBURY, Conn. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's tennis team dropped Saturday's Little East Conference match, 6-1, to WestConn.

Charles Watson grabbed Castleton's only point at the third singles spot with a 6-3, 7-5 victory. Remy Maynard forced extra points at the second spot as he fell 7-6 (0-5), 6-0, while Tanner Ciufo and Jackson Paquin were blanked 6-0, 6-0 at the first and fourth spots, respectively. Addy Boynton fell 6-0, 6-1 at the fifth spot, while the Spartans forfeited at the sixth spot.

In doubles action, Ciufo and Maynard fell 6-3 at the first spot, while Watson and Paquin fell 6-1 at the second. Castleton also forfeited at the third doubles spot, leaving the Wolves with the doubles point.

The team returns to Castleton on Tuesday, April 21, for a 1 p.m. LEC contest with UMass Boston.
