CASTLETON, Vt. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's tennis team fell 6-1 on Tuesday's Little East Conference matchup with UMass Boston.

Trevor Castino secured the Spartans lone singles point at the third spot with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. At the first spot, Tanner Ciufo fell 6-1, 6-1, while Charles Watson fell 6-0, 6-1 at the second spot. Tyler Burke dropped his singles match at the fourth spot 6-2, 6-1, Jackson Paquin fell 6-0, 6-0 at the fifth spot, and Addy Boynton rounded out the singles matches with a 6-1, 6-0 loss at the sixth spot.

Castino and Watson took a 6-3 win at the second doubles, while the Beacons took the first spot 6-3 and the third 6-0 to earn the doubles point.

The team finishes the season on Saturday, April 25 with the final LEC match of the season, set to start at 1 p.m.
