SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's track and field team displayed new personal bests at the Springfield College Outdoor invite on Sunday.

How it Happened
- Jon Hendley took first place in the 10000m run in a personal best of 32:55.34, securing 10 points for the Spartans.
- Carter Mackey cleared 1.85m on his first attempt at the height to take fourth in the event, scoring 4.5 points.
- In the throws, Sidiki Sylla tossed 13.26m for a new outdoor personal best, where he picked up three points with a sixth place finish. Sylla also competed in the discus throw, where launched his disc 31.10m to take 15th.
- Eddie Sayers tossed a new personal best in the discus throw with a mark of 39.57m to take fourth place and grab five points. He secured a point in the shot put with a toss of 12.47m with an eighth-place finish.
- Jason Guerino tallied two points for Castleton in the 5000m run with a seventh-place finish, clocking in at 17:54.
- Zack Durr led four Spartans in the 100m dash. Durr clocked in an 11.95 for 23rd overall. Brody Hopkins and Sean Dinan placed 26th and 27th in 12.13 and 12.32.

VTSU Castleton will travel to Troy, N.Y. on Friday, April 11 for the RPI Friday Night Under the Lights.
