MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's and women's indoor track & field teams took part in the Middlebury Snowflake Invitational to kickoff the second part of their season.

Spartan Men
- The best finish for the Castleton men came from Britain Goodemote, who placed third in the triple jump with a leap of 12.59m. Rookie Evan Suraci finished fifth with his jump of 11.29m.
- Saurci was one of six Spartans who took part in the 60m dash, placing 18th with a mark of 7:56.
Spartan Women
- Kalynn Stevenson took second place in the shot put when she threw for a mark of 12.49m on her third attempt. This is a season-best for the junior, and is good enough for 24th best in the country.
- Stevenson placed third in the weight throw, with a toss of 14.20m. Teammates Isabell Lanfear (12.06m), Karli Martin (11.68) and Sienna Newth (11.67m) finished fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively.
- Finishing just off the podium in fourth was Lanfear who posted a new career-best shotput toss of 12.01m. Lanfear's toss is 56th best in the country.
- Martin (10.28m) and Newth (10.22m) also finished in the top-10 in shotput, placing seventh and ninth, respectively.
