Women's Track and Field Competes at Sean Collier Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Vermont State University Castleton women's track and field team competed at the MIT Sean Collier Invitational on Saturday.
 
How it Happened
  • Kalynn Stevenson finished second in the discus with a toss of 42.41m. She competed in the shot put, where she placed fourth in the event and bested her school record with a toss of 12.57m.
  • Isabell Lanfear took seventh in the javelin throw with a toss 35.16m. She also took sixth in the shot put with a mark of 11.31m.
  • Karli Martin finished 12th in the hammer throw with a mark of 40.50m. Martin also competed in the shot put, where she placed 11th with a toss of 10.41m.
  • Bethany Davis and Rosie Phelan competed in the 1500m run. Davis took 33rd after crossing the line in 5:24.96. Phelan finished 36th with a time of 5:35.04.
  • Katelyn Yerdon placed 10th in the discus throw with a toss of 33.14.
  • Megan Carson finished 14th in the 100m dash with a time of 13.13. She also competed in the 200m dash, where she clocked in 28.07 to place 23rd overall.
  • Rachel Doty-Snay also took part in the 200m dash, where she finished 28th with a time of 28.60m.
 
What's Next
VTSU Castleton will get set to compete at the 2025 Little East Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, April 26.
