BOSTON, Mass. - The Vermont State University Castleton track and field team rounded out its season at the Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday.
Day One:
Wayne Alexander took to the track in the 600m run. The senior from Glover, Vt. finished 5th in his heat and 24th overall with a time of 1:24.42.
In the field, Isabell Lanfear and Kalynn Stevenson competed in the shot. Lanfear launched 11.00m to finish eighth in her flight and 22nd overall. Stevenson took 14th in her flight and finished 27th in the field with a toss of 10.44m.Â
Day Two:
Karli Martin and
Kalynn Stevenson competed in the weight throw on Saturday, Martin finished 6th in her flight, tossing 13.60m to finish 16th overall in the event. Stevenson placed 9th in the same flight with a mark of 13.06m to place 21st overall.
On the men's side,
Carter Mackey finished 18th in the high jump as he cleared 1.85m.
As VTSU Castleton wraps up the indoor season, many of the Spartans look to return for the outdoor season.
