PITMAN, N.J. – Josh Peguero of the Vermont State University Castleton football team earned the second New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 26.

Peguero led the team in a competitive 48-20 loss to Montclair State University on Saturday afternoon. The first year was efficient on offense, racking up 107 yards on six receptions and one touchdown.

The Middletown, N.Y. native also pitched in three kick returns for 51 yards.

This marks Peguero's second conference nod after he collected the first honor of the season on September 8, after scoring one touchdown with 47 yards in the team's 16-12 win over Westfield State.

He now leads the receiving corps in yards with 222 on 18 receptions. He also has a squad-best two receiving scores.

Peguero and the Spartans will hit the road on Saturday as they travel to Kean University for a 1 p.m. NJAC matchup.
