Women's Track and Field Tunes Up at Sean Collier Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Vermont State University Castleton women's track and field team competed at the Sean Collier Invitational on Saturday.
 
Highlighting the day was Bethany Davis, who took first in the 5000m with a new personal record of 20:09. Rosie Phelan finished second in the 5000 with a time 22:25.
 
McKenna Castor took 17th in the 100m dash with a time of 13.70, which ties her personal best.
 
Karli Martin tossed two personal records in the shot put and hammer throw. She placed 12th in the hammer throw with a mark of 39.13m and followed up with a 10.58m in the shot put to place 14th. Kalynn Stevenson competed in the shot put as well, taking 13th with a toss of 10.59m She also competed in the discus throw, where she threw 33.23m to take 14th.
 
The Spartans travel to Dartmouth for the Little East Conference Championships, which takes place Saturday, April 27.
