MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Vermont State University Castleton women's track and field team competed at the Penman Relays on Saturday.
Highlighting the day for the Spartans was senior
Taylor Ross. Ross took first place in the triple jump with a mark and new school record of 10.35m. Ross' mark puts her second in the Little East Conference and 11th in the Mideast Region.
Kalynn Stevenson finished second in the discus throw with a toss of 37.80m. Her mark is a new program record and ranks her third in the LEC. She also competed in the shot put, where she placed third in the event with a toss of 11.53m to set a new program in the event as well.
Karli Martin placed sixth in the hammer throw with a mark of 38.29m.
Luna Perry-St. Peter tossed 32.52m in the javelin to take eighth in the event and
Amber Cuthbert finished 12th in the 800m with a time of 2:37.
The Spartans return to action Friday, April 19 at MIT for a two day event.
