CLINTON, N.Y. – Vermont State University Castleton men's track and field opened their outdoor season at the Hamilton Outdoor Invitational on Saturday.

Harrison Leombruno-Nicholson, who opened his season with a third place finish in the men's javelin with a toss of 48.40m.
Sophomore
Britain Goodemote placed fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 12.52m to start his outdoor season off.
Daniel Doherty and
Carter Mackey each placed third with a jump of 1.74m in the high jump.
Sidiki Sylla placed 14th in the shot put with a throw of 11.63 and then followed up with a toss of 31.73 in the weight throw to place 16th.
On the track,
Wayne Alexander made an appearance in the 800m with a time 2:05 and
Jon Hendley saw action in the 5000m with a time of 16:53.
The Spartans return to action next Saturday, April 6 at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational with time to be determined.
