BOSTON, Mass. - Vermont State University Castleton women's track and field competed at the New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships Sunday afternoon.

First year's Karli Martin and Kalynn Stevenson represented VTSU Castleton at the New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships. The duo competed in the weight throw, where Martin tossed a 13.44m on her final attempt to place 17th overall and Stevenson tossed a 12.25m on her first attempt to place 28th overall in a competitive field.

Stevenson would also compete in the shot put later on, where she tossed a 10.89m to place 21st overall, capping off a strong first season for the first year duo. 

The Spartans will begin to prepare for the outdoor season, with their first competition taking place March, 23 at the J. Elmer Swanson Spring Classic.
