BOSTON, Mass. - Wayne Alexander of Vermont State University Castleton men's track and field competed at the New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships Sunday afternoon.

Alexander competed in the 600m at the New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships. The Glover, Vt. native ran a lifetime best with splits of 27.5, 29.2 and 29.1 to add up to 1:25.98 to finish second in his heat and 23rd overall in a hefty field. 

Alexander and the Spartans will begin to prepare for the outdoor season, with their first competition taking place March, 23 at the J. Elmer Swanson Spring Classic.
