MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Vermont State University Castleton women's track and field competed at the Middlebury Track and Field Meet on Saturday.
Highlighting the day were first years Karli Martin and Kalynn Stevenson. Stevenson placed fourth in the shot put with a toss of 10.59m while Martin placed seventh with a toss of 10.13m. The duo came back for the weight throw and did not disappoint. Martin would take the edge over Stevenson, placing third with a toss of 12.93m, while Stevenson tossed 12.68m to take fourth overall.

McKenna Castor placed second in the one lap run with a time of 28.51 in the 200m dash.
Taylor Ross continued her streak of jumping over 10 meters in the triple with a leap of 10.05m to place fourth and
Rachel Doty-Snay just missed out in qualifying for the 60m dash finals with a time of 8.97 to place 10th.

The Spartans will be back in action for Little East Conference Championships in Providence R.I. next Saturday, February 17.
