MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Vermont State University Castleton men's track and field competed at the Middlebury Track and Field Meet on Saturday.

Highlighting the day was sophomore Matt Spiller, who placed second overall in the 400m with a time of 52.39. His time marks a new school record which was previously held by him. Carter Mackey tied for first in the high jump with a mark of 1.85m.
 
First year Sidiki Sylla placed fourth in the shot with a toss of 12.61m. Taylor Bourn placed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 6.10m and Wayne Alexander placed seventh in 800m with a time of 2:02.
 
The Spartans will be back in action for Little East Conference Championships in Providence R.I. next Saturday, February 17.
