Honors Continue to Roll in For McDonough

12/11/2024 12:00:00 PM

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Kevin McDonough of the Vermont State University Castleton football team was recognized as a member of the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Sportsmanship Team on Wednesday.

The MASCAC Sportsmanship Team is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport that best demonstrates the values of the MASCAC and its Sportsmanship Statement, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season. "I want to commend the 60 student-athletes from across the conference who were recognized on the 2024 MASCAC Fall Sportsmanship Team", Commissioner Angela Baumann said. "These student-athletes have showcased outstanding sportsmanship, which is a fundamental principle of the MASCAC. We are proud to acknowledge these individuals for embodying these commendable traits."

McDonough finished his senior season ranking second and fifth in the nation in total tackles (126) and solo tackles (63), respectively.

The Concord, N.H. native adds this honor to his growing list after being named to the All-MASCAC First Team and the Team MVP by his squad last week.
