KILLINGWORTH, Conn. - The Vermont State University Castleton football team landed a league-leading 24 student-athletes on the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference's All-Academic Team, as well as an additional 34 student-athletes on the conference's Academic Honor Roll. In total 58 student-athletes received recognition by the conference for their efforts in the classroom.

In order to be eligible for the ECFC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the Fall 2023 semester. All honorees must also be at least a sophomore in standing and have a minimum of two years of participation on the football team.

Evan Smith earned the accolade for the third time in their career.

The Academic Honor Roll is reserved for student-athletes that achieved a 3.0 or higher fall semester GPA. This award can also be awarded to freshman and first-year transfer students.
