PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Vermont State University Castleton women's track and field placed seventh at the Panther Invitational at Plymouth St. Saturday afternoon.
Leading the way for the Spartans was senior
Taylor Ross, who finished first in the triple jump with a new personal record of 10.43m. Ross' mark is a new school record and currently ranks her first in the LEC and 10th in the Mideast Region.
Amber Cuthbert doubled down at the Invitational. She placed third in the mile with a time of 5:44 and followed up with a seventh place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:41. Cuthbert secured eight points on her double day. First year
Kalynn Stevenson placed third in the weight throw with a mark of 12.83m and
Karli Martin placed fifth with a toss of 12.35m.
VTSU Castleton return to action Saturday, January 27 at 10 a.m. for the Husky Invitational.
