PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Vermont State University Castleton men's track and field placed seventh at the Panther Invitational I at Plymouth St. Saturday afternoon.
Leading the way for the Spartans was senior
Jon Hendley, who placed third in the 5000m with a 15:58. Hendley's time is a new personal best for indoors. Carter McKay finished third in the high jump with as mark of 1.80m to secure six points for the Spartans.
Sidiki Sylla placed third in the shot with a toss of 12.46m.
Britain Goodemote finished second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.99m to grab eight points for Castleton.
Wayne Alexander placed third in the 600m with a new personal best of 1:26.
Taylor Bourne qualified for the 60m dash finals with a time of 7.44. He finished sixth in the finals with a time of 7.41 to secure three points for the Spartans.
VTSU Castleton return to action Saturday, January 27 at 10 a.m. for the Husky Invitational.
