MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Vermont State University Castleton men's track and field placed fourth at the Middlebury Snowflake Invitational.
 
Leading the way for the Spartans was Carter Mackey, who finished third in the high jump with a mark of 1.80m. Daniel Doherty followed up behind Mackey with a jump of 1.75m to place fourth in the event. Doherty doubled back and competed in the long jump, where he jumped 5.81m to finish sixth. Taylor Bourn also competed in the long jump and finished third with a mark of 5.95m.
 
Britain Goodemote placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.39m. Matt Spiller finished fourth in the 400m with a time of 54.65 and Sylla Sidiki placed third in the shot put with a mark of 12.48m.
 
 
VTSU Castleton will be back in action Saturday, January 20 at 10 a.m. for the Panther Invitational.
