WORCESTER, Mass. – The Castleton University wrestling team picked up several individual victories throughout the day at a series of dual matches hosted by WPI, but the Spartans could not put enough wins together in any one match, losing to Ursinus (28-15), King's College (27-12), and Roger Williams (32-15) Saturday afternoon.

Two Spartans earned multiple victories during the day. At 133 pounds, Nick Camacho found the winning formula he used on opening weekend, first defeating James Harkness of Ursinus in a close 6-5 decision, and then picking up another decision victory, this time over Jake Daniel of King's College, 7-3.

After losing a tight 3-1 decision in his first match of the day at 157 pounds, Cameron Milliken rebounded for an 8-3 decision victory over David White of King's College and a pinfall victory early in the second period over Ty Herzog of Roger Williams.

In the team's opening contest of the day against Ursinus, Jared Costa at 165 pounds picked up his third straight pinfall win of the season, defeating Jarrett DiGiantomasso with 47 seconds remaining in the match. Jacob Woodside won the 184-pound match over Deon Edmond in a 15-8 decision, followed by Joseph Galusha winning the 197-pound match over Zeb Pfeiffer in an 8-5 decision.

Against King's College, Zach Allen picked up his seventh straight win to start the year with an 11-6 decision victory over Rene Sousa at 174 pounds, and Mitchell LaFlam earned his fifth win of the season with an 8-4 decision victory over Nicholas Price at 184 pounds.

Tyreek Staton improved to 7-2 so far this season with an 11-4 decision victory over Chris Gural of Roger Williams at 125 pounds. At 149 pounds, Tyler Raetz earned his fourth pinfall victory of the season, defeating James Knoeller with 31 seconds to go in the second period.

Castleton (3-7) will have two weeks to prepare for its first invitational competition as a varsity program, as the Spartans participate in the Ted Reece Invitational Saturday, Dec. 3, hosted by Southern Maine University in Gorham, Maine.
