CASTLETON, Vt. – The brackets are set for the 2026 NCAA Division III Wrestling National Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with three members of the Vermont State University Castleton wrestling program set to compete on the season's biggest stage.
Wrestling begins at 11 a.m. EST on Friday for the first two preliminary rounds and the initial consolation round. Following a mid-day break, action resumes at 6 p.m EST for the championship quarterfinals, the sound round wrestle-backs, and the third consolation round.
Drew Marchese enters his first NCAA Championships 34-8 on the season after taking second place at the Northeast Regional Championships at 125 pounds. He is set to face Keno Vanier of Augsburg in the opening round on Friday morning.
Jashon Holmes also enters his first Nationals appearance, 29-9 on the season, also taking second at 165 pounds at the Northeast Regional Championships two weeks ago. Holmes is set to face Carter Davis of Penn Tech on Friday morning for the opening round.
Desmond McLaughlin makes his first NCAA Championships appearance, 32-11 on the season. McLaughlin finished second at 184 pounds at the Northeast Regional Championships. He is set to face Remington Bauer of Baldwin Wallace on Friday morning.
