RUTLAND, Vt. – Castleton's men's tennis team suffered its second consecutive loss on the season, as it fell to the Southern Maine Huskies today, 9-0.

The Huskies put on an all-around, dominating performance by winning all six singles matches in straight sets, including five with scores of 6-0, 6-0.   

Seth Marcil was the top Spartan performer in the contest, falling in the third-flight singles match 6-0, 6-2 to move to 1-1 on the year. In doubles play, the tandem of Tyler Wilcox and Kyle Martin fell just short of earning their first victory of the season, losing 8-6.

Castleton is now 0-2 on the season and returns to action on Sunday, March 15 when it hosts Johnson St. in non-conference action at 1 pm.
