CASTLETON, Vt. – After boasting one of the best offenses in the conference, the Spartans had a trio of players named to the North Atlantic Conference All-Conference First Team and one more to the second team as announced by the NAC on Friday morning. 

Senior outfielder Tori Fearon was named to the first-team along with sophomore utility infielder Brittany Brayman and shortstop Jessica Babcock. Freshman Katie Gagne was named to the second team for her work as a first baseman and pitcher. Head Coach Chris Chapdelaine was honored as the NAC Coach of the Year for the second time in three seasons. 

Fearon finished second in the conference with 21 runs scored and eighth in batting with a .429 average and a .619 slugging percentage. This marks her second first-team selection and then fourth time she has been an all-conference selection. Brayman came into her own this year, finishing second in the NAC in batting .476, third in RBI (17) while posting a .500 on-base percentage. 

Babcock was arguably the NAC's top hitter this year, leading the conference in slugging (.872) while hitting .468 with four doubles, three triples and three home runs. She also drove in a conference-best 20 runs while scoring 16 times herself to earn first-team honors for the second straight year. Gagne was named to the second team this year after leading the NAC with six doubles and batting .515 with 17 hits and five runs. In the circle she went 4-0 with a 2.84 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 24.2 innings. 

The Spartans looks to reach their second straight NAC Championship game as they take part in the NAC Tournament hosted by Husson this weekend.
