CASTLETON, Vt. - The Spartans earned a 5-4 victory over Norwich to open their season on Wednesday evening.
Castleton led 2-1 after doubles and got some big victories from the bottom of its lineup to earn the win over the Cadets. Adam McCaffery won in straight sets at No. 3 singles and also teamed with Mike Glasser to earn a win at No. 1 doubles. Zac Conlogue earned a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at No. 6 singles.
The Spartans return to action against Lyndon St. on Saturday at Grand Slam Tennis in Rutland for their home opener
