Rutland, Vt. - Castleton's North Atlantic Conference opener was soured by the Colby-Sawyer Chargers on Saturday, as the Spartans fell 9-0 at Grand Slam Tennis Complex.

Castleton's first singles player Stew Quinn (Newton, N.J.) did his best to get the Spartans a point, forcing his opponent to a third set super tiebreaker, but fell 6-2, 5-7, 10-7.

The Spartans drop to 0-2 to begin the 2012 season, but will return to action Tuesday March 20 against Sage.
