Castleton Women Win Third Straight USCSA Regional Slalom Title

CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine – The Vermont State University Castleton women's alpine skiing team captured their third consecutive USCSA Eastern Regional Championship, winning today's slalom race to secure the team title, their eighth regional crown since 2016.

Emilie Stene led the way with a first-place finish, posting a two-run combined time of 1:24.81. Coupled with yesterday's runner-up result, Stene claimed first overall at the regional championships, earning her fourth consecutive USCSA Eastern Regional title. Eva Young finished fourth in 1:26.32, while Elisabeth Worster added a fifth-place finish in 1:26.72.

In the team standings, Castleton claimed first place with a combined time of 4:17.86 to take the USCSA Eastern Conference Championship. Clarkson University finished second at 4:22.92, while Babson College placed third at 4:23.86.

The Spartans now turns their focus to the NCAA Regional Championships at Middlebury Snow Bowl on February 20.
