CASTLETON, Vt. – 15th-ranked Jashon Holmes of the Vermont State University Castleton wrestling team was named the New England Wrestling Association's (NEWA) Wrestler of the Week following a 3-0 outing at the Castleton Quad at 165 pounds.

The senior opened the day with an 18-2 technical fall victory over Max Morrison of SUNY Brockport before taking down Gabe Thomasson of Springfield via an 11-4 decision. He closed out senior day with a 2-1 win over NCAA qualifier and sixth-ranked Jack Richardson of Johnson & Wales in an electric match for the upset.

The Spartans are in action tonight (February 13) at No. 19 Williams College, beginning at 7 p.m.
