NEWRY, Maine – The Vermont State University Castleton women's alpine skiing team took home second-place on day two at Sunday River.
Castleton was led by Andrea Rodriguez, who recorded a podium finish by placing third overall with a time of 2:30.24. Eva Young followed closely behind, finishing fifth in 2:32.00, while Makenna Price had a seventh-place finish in 2:33.13.
Rounding out the Castleton scorers, Caitlyn Bumpers finished 20th with a time of 2:47.42, and Ellie Campbell placed 30th, crossing the line in 3:09.77.
Castleton finished second overall with a combined team time of 7:35.37. Babson claimed first with a time of 7:33.00, while Clarkson rounded out the podium in third at 7:45.80.
The Spartans head to Proctor Academy on January 16 for slalom.
