How It Happened
Keene State struck first and built a 3-0 lead before
Brianna Paul put Castleton on the board with a player-up goal assisted by
Phoebe Loomis. The Owls tacked on one more before the quarter ended to lead 4-1.
The Spartans battled in the second quarter, with
Renny Cota scoring twice and Paul assisting on another. However, Keene State continued to apply pressure, netting three goals in the period to extend the Owls' lead to 10-4 at halftime.
The third quarter saw
Phoebe Loomis add a goal for Castleton, but Keene State's offense remained steady, scoring three more to push the advantage to 13-5. The Spartans found one last tally in the fourth from Paul, but the Owls secured the win with four additional goals.

Castleton will look to rebound on Tuesday, April 1, when they travel to face Albertus Magnus College for a 7 p.m. nonconference matchup.
