ANDOVER, N.H. – The Vermont State University Castleton women's alpine skiing team took home second-place on day two of slalom at Proctor Ski Area.
Alice Pomi earned her first career win in slalom and second overall victory with a time of 1:39.02, moving from third after run one to first with the fastest second run time to earn the win.
Ginevra Trevisan finished in third with a time of 1:42.79 for her first podium of the season, posting the second-fastest second run to move from ninth up to third.
Ines Robres Peireto finished 15
th and
Grace Porcaro finished 16
th to round out the Spartans finishers.
Castleton took home second with a combined time of 5:12.52, behind Babson in first with a time of 5:10.29, and UConn finishing third with a time of 5:25.17.
After four races, three Spartans lead the overall standings, with Pomi in first with 260 points,
Andrea Rodriguez in second with 200 points, and
Emilie Stene in third with 190 points. Trevisan sits in seventh,

th, Porcaro in 23
rd, Robres Peireto in 27
th and
Gabriella Hall in 32
nd. The Spartans lead in team standings with five points, with Babson following behind in second with seven points.
The Spartans head to Whiteface Friday, January 24 for two days of giant slalom.
