LUDLOW, V.T. – The Vermont State University Castleton women's alpine skiing team took home its second win in a row at Okemo on Monday in giant slalom.
Rookie
Alice Pomi claimed her first collegiate win in her giant slalom debut, winning her first run with a time of 1:14.53 and her second with a 1:17.01.
Emilie Stene claimed a third-place finish with a combined time of 2:37.21, sitting in fourth after run one and posting the third-fastest second run to secure her podium spot.
Karleigh Hollister notched her second top-10 finish of the weekend in seventh, with
Grace Porcaro (21st) and
Gabriella Hall (25th) rounding out the Spartans finishers.
Castleton posted a combined time of 7:50.70 to claim the top spot for the second day in a row, with Babson and Clarkson following behind.
The Spartans head to Proctor on Friday, January 17 for two days of slalom racing.
