Women's Alpine Notches Seventh Place at USCSA Nationals

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – The Vermont State University Castleton women's alpine skiing team wrapped up its 2024 season Saturday, finishing the USCSA National Championships in seventh place overall.

Slotting fourth in the GS and nabbing a top-20 spot in slalom, Ginevra Trevisan led the Spartans in individual combined standings at eighth place. Emilie Stene, who won the national title in GS, landed 47th as slalom runner-up Petra Veljkovic followed in 48th. Ines Robres Peireto (58th) and Karleigh Hollister (63rd) also turned in top-half showings for the Spartans.

The strong team effort marks 11 consecutive appearances at Nationals in which VTSU Castleton has finished seventh or better.

Five members of the women's program garnered USCSA recognition for elite performance in the classroom.
