The Spartans finish their regular season with a 12-7 record, while Plymouth St. now sits at 7-7-1 with the loss.

Neither team could get on the board in the first half, as the two squads entered the break locked in a 0-0 tie. Castleton held the edge in shots, taking 10 to Plymouth St.'s three in the first half, while also holding a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Spartans came out of the break firing, scoring three goals in just over 15 minutes of play. Just over one minute later, Costello scored the first of her two goals in the game on an assist from Wershoven to double the Spartan lead to 2-0 and move her into second place on the Castleton all-time scoring list.

In the 61st minute, Costello would again take a pass from Wershoven and find the back of the net for her conference-leading 19th goal of the season, giving Castleton a three-goal cushion. The Spartans tacked on a late goal, with Phillips scoring unassisted with less than one minute to play to give the game its final score of 4-0 in favor of the visitors.
