CASTLETON, VT- The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) announced its Players of the Week on Monday afternoon. Spartan kicker Zach Dragon (Sudbury, Vt./Otter Valley Union) was named the Special Teams Player of the Week.

Dragon was 2-for-2 on field goal attempts as the Spartans defeated Maine Maritime Academy 40-0 on Saturday. Dragon's first field goal was from 40 yards out to put Castleton on the board 3-0. It was the longest field goal from that distance for the Spartans since 2021. His second field goal in the game came with 1:06 left in the second quarter from 20 yards. Dragon was also 4-of-5 in extra point tries.

On the season, Dragon is 8-of-9 on extra points and 3-for-3 on field goals. He leads the NJAC in total points for kicking and his 40-yard field goal is the second longest in the conference.
