MIDDLEBURY, Vt.-  The Vermont State University, Castleton men's golf team completed the first round of the 2026 Duke Nelson Invitational Saturday afternoon at Ralph Myhre Golf Course.  

Sam Knight (Madison, Wisc.) led the team at 10 over par. Filip Ransdorf (Roudnice nad Labem, Czech Republic) was a few strokes behind, at 14 over par with a birdie.  

Will Woodruff (Bloomingdale, N.Y.) and Mason MacDougall (Cambridge, N.Y.) each were 17 over par, while Cam Reid (Kimberley, BC) was 18 over par and had one birdie.  

The Spartans close out the Duke Nelson Invitational tomorrow. Tee-off is at 9 am tomorrow and will be a shotgun start.
